The NKR Police reports that a manhunt has been launched to find those responsible for the kidnapping and beating of Artsakh MP Hayk Khanoumyan on June 6 in Stepanakert.

Several possible eyewitnesses to the attack have been questioned and measures have been taken to guarantee his safety.

Hayk Khanoumyan, an Artsakh MP with the National Renaissance Party, was assaulted outside the parliament building in the NKR capital and manhandled into a waiting car.

He was then driven towards the village of Khantzakh where he was beaten by some twenty individuals.
