44 Snake Bites Reported in Armenia During First Half of Year

There were 44 snake bite incidents reported in Armenia during the first six months of the year, this according to the Ministry of Health.

Seven people were bitten in the Yerevan area and went to local hospitals.

Eleven snake bites were reported in Armavir Province, 10 in Aragatzotn, 5 in Shirak, 4 in Syunik and Kotayk, and 1 in Vayots Dzor.

29 of the 44 were treated with anti-venom, free of charge.

No deaths were reported/
