10,649 crimes were registered in Armenia during the first six months of 2016, 820 (8.3%) more than the same period in 2015, this according to police data.

128 were registered as extremely serious; 1,837 as serious; 3,420 as relatively serious; and 5,264 as not serious.

5,275 of the total number of crimes were registered in Yerevan; 900 in Kotayk Province; 745 in Lori; 731 in Armavir; 694 in Ararat; 583 in Shirak; 503 in Gegharkounik; 389 in Syunik; 336 in Aragatztotn; 328 in Tavoush; and 102 in Vaots Dzor.
