By a vote of 98 to 2, Armenia’s National Assembly passed a bill that would mandate an obligatory monthly payment of 1,000 AMD from qualified workers to finance a compensation fund for military personnel either disabled or killed during their term of service.

The bill was hotly debated during yesterday’s second hearing.
