Arayik Sargsyan, a contract soldier serving in the Artsakh Defense Army, died from a gunshot wound sustained in as yet unknown circumstances at a military base in the southeastern region of the country, the NKR Ministry of Defense reports.

The ministry says an investigation of the death of Sargsyan, a native of the Hadrout region, has been launched.
