Odzoun Church Bells Ring Out to Commemorate 1988 Earthquake Victims
At exactly 11:41am, the bells atop the Holy Mother of God Church in Odzoun rang out 23 times to mark the 23rd anniversary of the 1988 Spitak earthquake.
A requiem service was then held in the church in memory of the thousands who perished on December 7, 1988.
Over three thousand individuals then marched to a stone cross commemorating the victims, where they laid flowers.
