Opposition Alliance in Armenia Seeks to Void Results of April 2 Parliamentary Election
Armenia’s Congress-HZhK Alliance, which failed to garner enough votes for seats in the country’s new parliament, says that it has petitioned the Central Electoral Commission to void the results of the April 2 election.
The alliance claims that the election, in which the ruling Republican Party of Armenia won nearly 50% of the vote, was marred by violations organized and carried out by the authorities in power.
