Marineh Papyan, coordinator of the grant programs of the EU delegation in Armenia, was arrested on April 26 on suspicion of embezzling large amounts of funds allocated by the EU.

Armenia’s Investigative Committee says a preliminary investigation is ongoing and that thirteen other individuals have been charged with aiding and abetting in the scheme to siphon money allocated by the EU for projects in Armenia.
