The preliminary investigation of the criminal case initiated against the head of Vanadzor post office on embezzling pensions and benefits is continued in the Investigation Division of Lori Police.

On December 12, 2011 the head of Vanadzor post office 2015 of the “Haypost” CJSC M. Gevorgyan had been charged according to the RA Criminal Code Article 179, part 3, point 1. He was accused of committing embezzlement in the amount of more that six million Armenian drams.

During the preliminary investigation M. Gevorgyan returned the property damage caused to the “Haypost” CJSC.

The Court of First Instance of Lori region sustained the investigator’s motion to use arrest against M. Gevorgyan as a pretrial measure.

RoA Prosecutor General's Office reports that the Court also sustained M. Gevorgyan’s defender’s motion and changed arrest by an alternative pretrial measure that is by bail.
