Tajikistan President Arrives In Armenia for Talks
Upon his arrival in Yerevan today at the invitation of Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan, Tajikistan President Emomali Rahmon laid flowers and planted an evergreen tree at the Tzitzernakaberd Armenian Genocide Memorial before holding a private talk with his Armenian counterpart at the presidential palace.
Sargsyan said that Rahmon’s visit to Armenia was symbolic, given that this year marks the 25th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Yerevan and Dushanbe.
Officials of both countries will meet to hold talks on a wide-range of matters.
