According to today’s FIFA rankings, Armenia has clinched 46th place in the world with 612 points, the best showing so far for the country’s national team.

In the 2014 World Cup qualifiers, Armenia is in a group with Ireland (9th), Denmark (11th), Czech Republic (33rd), Bulgaria (85th) and Malta (155th).

As far as Armenia’s neighbors, Turkey ranks 28th, Iran 45th, Georgia 73rd, and Azerbaijan 112th.
