David Boyajian's Letter to the Editor of Hetq
I am gratified that the Genocide Education Project (GEP) has responded to my article Facing History, the Anti-Defamation League, and the Silence of the Lambs (Dec. 6).
It is also just over a month and a half since the Open Letter to the Genocide Education Project and the Armenian American Community about Facing History and Ourselves (Nov. 1).
I stand behind that Open Letter, my article, as well as the Open Letter to Facing History and Ourselves (Oct. 24).
I hope that people read all three and decide for themselves.
Were it not for the rapid and positive response of Armenians to those writings, FHAO and GEP may not have become aware of just how disturbing FHAO’s co-sponsorship of the ADL/Foxman event was. Sometimes even the best organizations need a push.
I am pleased, however, that GEP is urging FHAO “to reevaluate and revise” its “misinterpretation of the ADL's position on the Armenian Genocide.”
Perhaps they will inform the media of the results of those conversations.
Sincerely,
David Boyajian
