President Sarkissian Pays Visit to EastWest Institute in New York

It was a homecoming, of sorts, for newly elected Armenian President Armen Sarkissian when he paid a visit to the New York-based EastWest Institute where he’s served as vice-chairman since 2008.

Sarkissian’s involvement with the international not-for profit think tank on international conflict resolution began in 2002, when he became a member of the board of directors.

The EastWest Institute “warmly congratulated” Sarkissian on his election, by the Armenian National Assembly, as president of Armenia on March 2.
