At a meeting with representatives of Yerevan-based construction firms, Yeghish Terteryan, who heads the Environmental Protection and Mining Inspection Body, raised the issue of improper dumping of building waste, telling the business owners that his agency would prefer to prevent such violations, rather than having to fine the companies at fault.

Terteryan said his agency is ready to listen to the concerns of the construction sector representatives and that he would discuss them with local and provincial authorities.
