The current and former directors of the Haghartzin section of Armenia’s Dilijan National Park have been arrested for dereliction of duty surrounding the illegal logging of some 6,000 trees during 2014-2017.

Armenia’s Investigative Committee reports that three other Haghartzin section officials have also been charged in the case.

Law enforcement agencies have launched a search for one other official.
