Armenia Appoints New Ambassador to Israel

Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan today appointed Armen Smbatyan as the country’s ambassador to Israel.

Smbatyan served as Armenia's ambassador to Russia from 2002-2010, and had been an adviser to the president on international cultural-humanitarian cooperation since 2014.
