Armenian Apostolic Church Catholicos Garegin II leaves for the Vatican today, at the invitation of Pope Frances, to attend the unveiling of a stature dedicated to St. Grigor Narekatsi.

Accompanying Catholicos Garegin II while at the Vatican will be Archbishop Khajag Barsamian, Primate of the U.S. Eastern Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church, Archbishop Natan Hovhannisyan, Director of the Division of Foreign Relations and Protocol at the Holy See of Etchmiadzin, Very Rev. Father Shahe Ananyan, who heads the Division of Inter-Church Relations at the Holy See of Etchmiadzin, and Father Vahram Melikyan, Director of Information Services at the Holy See of Etchmiadzin.

Catholicos Aram I, of the Great House of Cilicia, will also attend the unveiling.
