Yerevan: Two More "My Step" Supporters Detained on Graffiti Charge

Yerevan police detained two members of the “My Step” movement after they were spotted drawing graffiti on the street.

The “My Step” (Im Kayl) movement seeks to prevent outgoing Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan from becoming the country’s next prime minister. Its supporters are marching across Armenia to recruit additional members to the My Step movement.

The two detained individuals, Babgen Grigoryan and Varsenik Ouzounyan, were taken to the Kentron Police Station, this according to Civil Contract Vice-President Souren Papikyan.

Two other My Step supporters were detained, and later released, on Sunday on the same charge; destruction of public property.
