
Armenian Parliament to Nominate Candidates for Prime Minister on April 17
Armenia’s National Assembly will debate who will be the next prime minister of the country at a special session to be held on April 17.
The parliament’s four political factions must nominate candidates for prime minister, after which an election will be held. The nominee garnering a majority of votes will assume the post of prime minister.
The four factions are:
Republican Party of Armenia Faction – 58 deputies
Tsarukyan Faction – 31 deputies
Yelk Faction – 9 deputies
ARF Faction -7 deputies
