Armenia: Heritage Party Spurns President's Invitation to "Talks"
The Heritage (Zharangoutyun) Party of Armenia says it has rejected an invitation by Armenian President Armen Sarkissian to participate in talks tasked with discussing the current political impasse and come up with solutions.
In a press release, Heritage Party Board President Armen Martirosyan writes that such talks are no longer necessary since Armenians in Armenia and the diaspora have long since agreed for the creation of an interim government followed by snap parliamentary elections and have authorized the representatives of those assembled in Republic Square to negotiate these issues.
Martirosyan says the party rejects any attempt to keep the RPA in power.
