Parliament Debates Bill on Military Deferments for Certain Conscripts
If Armenia’s National Assembly approves a government introduced bill to make changes to the military draft law, those conscripts whose parents or siblings were killed during military operations could be freed from serving in the army if they are the family’s only child.
Romik Manukyan, a member of the Standing Committee on Defense and Security Affairs, says the bill has been unanimously by the committee and should be supported by the entire parliament.
