Court Issues AMD 5 Million Bail for Former Deputy Defense Minister

A Yerevan court today decided that former Armenian deputy defense minister Yuri Khachaturov, charged with “usurping state power during the March 1-2, 2008 public protests in Yerevan, can be released from pre-trial detention if he pays AMD 5 million ($10,400) bail.

Khachaturov, who was present in court, again denied the charge.
