Armenian President Armen Sarkissian today met with members of a delegation from Lebanon on a fact-finding mission in Armenia to explore investment and business opportunities.

The delegation, according to an Armenian government press release, consists of entrepreneurs, state officials and mayors.

Noting that the strong friendship that connects the two countries and peoples, Sarkissian said that Armenia encourages strengthening such ties in all sectors.

The Armenian president said there were many examples of  successful Lebanese and Lebanese-Armenian business ventures in Armenia.

“Armenia is a superb country to invest and succeed in. One shouldn’t take into account the country’s small population, but the fact that Armenia is a great jumping off point to reach other markets,” Sarkissian said.
