Artsakh Human Rights Defender Ruben Melikyan, in a Facebook post today, says he is resigning from the position.

Melikyan writes that he submitted his resignation one or two months ago, but that he is effectively resigning as of today, after publishing a special report regarding anti-Armenian sentiment in Azerbaijan.

He writes that with the publication of the report his office’s fact-finding mission on the April 2016 “Four Day War” has been completed.

Melikyan does not specify the reason for his resignation.
