The “Huys” (Hope) Children’s Home of Gyumri There are 80 children between the ages of four through eighteen residing at the “Hope” Children’s Home in the city of Gyumri. Upon reaching the age of 18 the young adults must start out on a new road in life outside the walls of the children’s home and reside in apartments allocated by the government. Wards of the “Hope” Children’s Home over the age of 18 haven’t yet been considered worthy of government attention but through the generosity of the home’s Board of Directors they are able to continue to reside within the loving confines of the home.
