Master stone sculptor Varazdat Hambardzoumyan has found a little corner on Aram Street not yet hit by the wrecking ball in downtown Yerevan to create his museum-workshop. “The art of making stone crosses (khachkars), to carve stone, has been given to the Armenian people from on high,” says master Varo. “The khachkar is the stamp of God on Armenian soil.”
