Laying down the law, newly elected Yerevan Mayor Hayk Marutyan told his staff today that the Armenian capital faces its own set of problems and that he expects all municipal employees to come to work and find solutions to those problems.

“We must search out those problems that need fixing and come up with appropriate solutions,” Marutyan said according to a Yerevan Municipality press release.

The mayor told his staff that all issues could be solved if municipal workers performed their jobs efficiently and followed through.

Marutyan, Yerevan’s mayor for the next five years, told municipal employees that they would be held accountable for their work and that they are answerable to the city's residents.
