Gegham Gevorgyan has been appointed Armenia’s Minister of Agriculture.

Gevorgyan replaces Artur Khachatryan, who was dismissed on October 3 along with five other ministers belonging either to the ARF or the Prosperous Armenia Party.

Pashinyan decided to dismiss the ministers after the Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK) and the ARF backed a controversial bill, seen as a ploy for the current parliament to remain in power, on October 2.
