Armenia to Increase Primary Heath Care Budget, Says Acting Health Minister

Armenia’s Acting Minister of Heath Arsen Torosyan, during his speech at the Global Conference on Primary Health Care, which wrapped up today in Astana (Kazakhstan), announced that Armenia would increase its primary health care budget by 27% in 2019.

Torosyan, according to a ministry press release, said measures would be taken to retrain personnel  and improve their skill sets.

The acting minister said that the increased budget would be used to purchase modern health care technologies.
