Armenia’s Gor Minasyan has taken second place in the men’s +109 kg category at the 2018 World Weightlifting Championship in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan.

The 24-year-old Armenian weightlifter finished the competition with 450 kg (250kg in the Snatch and 245kg in the Clean and Jerk).

Lasha Talakhadze, from Georgia, won the category with a total of 474 kg.

Armenia has won 2 Golds and 5 Silvers in the All Medal Ranking (Big (Total result) and Small (Snatch and Clean & Jerk)).

The championship ends today.
