The Armenian government has introduced a bill that would set the minimum monthly state retirement pension at AMD 25,500 (approximately US$ 52).

Acting Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Mane Tandilyan, in a Facebook post, writes that the bill also pegs the minimum state monthly stipend for the disabled and those losing a family breadwinner at the same amount.

The changes, if approved, would effect 80,000 citizens.
