Acting Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan today welcomed 150 business leaders, NGO representative and government officials, hailing from 40 countries, who arrived in Yerevan to participate in the European Business Association’s global annual meeting.

Acting Deputy Prime Minister Mr. Tigran Avinyan, Acting Minister of Economic Development and Investments Mr. Tigran Khachatryan, Head of EU Delegation to Armenia H. E. Mr. Piotr Świtalski, DG GROW (EU Commission, Directorate-General for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs) International Relations Officer Mr. Vladimir Zuberec, and Chairman of the EBO WWN Mr. Renato Pacheco Neto  welcomed the guests.

“EBO WWN Global Annual Meeting is a great opportunity for the businesses from Network’s Member Countries to learn about new economic policy of Armenia and the developments in business environment”, said EBO WWN Chairman Mr. Renato Pacheco Neto. 

“During the three years  since the establishment of EBA Armenia and being a member of EBO WWN the government has always cooperated with the us, aiming at business environment improvement. Today as well, the government and sate agencies support the business community in order to ensure better conditions for public-private dialogue and facilitating a positive investment environment”, stated Executive Director of European Business Association in Armenia, Ms. Diana Sarumova.

Event participants were informed about Armenia’s investment climate and favorable trade conditions during the “Select Armenia” presentation by the acting executive director of “Business Armenia” Foundation Mr. Armen Avak Avakian.

Issues of economic diplomacy, business advocacy, professional exchange of international best practices are included in the agenda of EBO WWN Global Meeting in Yerevan.
