
Armenian Ambassador to Iraq Presents Credentials
Hrachya Poladyan, Armenia’s newly appointed Ambassador to Iraq, today presented his diplomatic credentials to Iraqi President Barham Salih.
Poladyan, according to an Armenian government press release, conveyed the best wishes of Armenian President Armen Sarkissian to President Salih.
Poladyan reiterated Armenia’s desire to strengthen relations with Iraq, noting that 5,000 Iraqis visited Armenia in 2018 and the potential to double that number exists.
The Armenian ambassador said that trade between the two countries, now amounting to US$120 million yearly, can also increase.
