Chairman of the Writers Union of Armenia ,Levon Ananyan, told reporters today that Gyumri Mayor Vardan Ghukasyan has pledged to purchase the Hovhannes Tumanyan house in Tbilisi from its current owner Archil Lezhava.
The site, on Nalbandian Street, once housed a kindergarten that was demolished last year. A construction company has taken over the site and plans to build a luxury residential building.
