“Vanadzor needs people with new modes of thinking”
A classroom meeting all the requirements of a modern educational environment opened today in Lernagog, Armavir marz. The Children of Armenia Fund (COAF) supported this imitative that has already received the name Creativity Lab. The facility represents a spacious sunlit room that accommodates 40-50 children. Its mobile furniture can be rearranged in a way that allows for individual, au pair and group work.
The academic year for Armenian schools in Syria will begin in two weeks. Many will find themselves in a bind because they will be unable to pay the school fees. In the last school year and in Armenian schools in general, 15 out of 100 students were children.
The mayor pointed to one "achievement" and several issues, which during the 13 years that he's been in office haven't been resolved.
The opposition Armenian National Congress (HAK) alliance and the Heritage Party haven't put forth candidates in the Vanadzor mayoral election and are not backing any of the other parties' candidates. Meanwhile, the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (Dashnaktsutyun, or ARF-D) is participating in the upcoming election and, as surprising as this might be, is backing the Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) candidate, incumbent Samvel Darbinyan....
