The District Court in Tel Aviv, Israel sentenced former Prime Minister Ehud Olmert to six years in jail on Tuesday, reports The Guardian.

The local self-government elections in Georgia will be held on June 15. Members of local government councils, heads of regional administration, and mayors (including of Tbilisi, the capital) will be elected by vote. A new alliance was established in Georgia with the aim of participating in these elections — "Non-parliamentary opposition". Free Georgia, one of the parties in the alliance, began its campaign also in Javakhq.
On May 14, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan signed a decree appointing Armenian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the United Mexican States Grigor Hovhannisyan also (concurrently) to the position of Armenian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Cuba.
