At today’s parliament session, ARF MP Artzvik Minasyan announced that it had been decided to create a subcommittee to look into the possible reopening of the plant and that it would take up to a year for them to draft a plan of action.
The four inmates, who share a cell with Iskandaryan, have written to department of corrections head Artour Osikyan saying that the inmate, who lost a leg while serving in the army, gets bouts of unconsciousness and recently fell causing injury to his face and hands.
“There is a great lack of forestry professionals in Armenia. Sadly, this problem exists in all countries. Luckily, a forestry division recently opened in the Academy of Agriculture. However, dues to various reasons, most graduates prefer to go to work outside the forestry sector,” Matevosyan replied.
