Thousands gathered at St. Nshan Armenian Apostolic Church in Gyumri on Tuesday January 20, 2015 during requiem services for 6-month-old Seryozha Avetisyan who died the day before. Seryozha was the seventh in the Avetisyan family to die since the brutal murder in the family home on January 12 by accused Russian soldier Valery Permyakov.

A requiem service for Seryozha Avetisyan, the six month old boy who died yesterday from wounds sustained in a vicious attack that took place last Monday, will be held later this evening at the St. Nshan Armenian Apostolic Church in Gyumri.
During the meeting, Bastrikin noted that the legal teams of the two nations have reached a clear understanding of the role of Armenian law enforcement regarding its assistance in the investigation of the case and gave his assurances that both sides are committed to bringing those responsible to justice.
