Jailed Sasna Dzrer member Ashot Petrosyan has launched a hunger strike in the Convicts’ Hospital, this according to his lawyer Arayik Papikyan.
In a letter allegedly written by Manukyan, he says that he is ending his hunger strike on the orders of his commander Jirayr Sefilian and the wish of the people.
President Serzh Sargsyan has dismissed Hrant Yepiskoposyan as First Deputy Director of the National Security Service.
An investigation into the soldier’s death has been launched.
Ghukasyan was then detained on suspicion of organizing public unrest. A court has said that he could be detained for 72 hours. Lusineh Sahakyan, Ghukasyan’s lawyer, says her client’s health condition has worsened and that he needs an in-depth medical evaluation.
Kristineh Melkonyan, an adviser to Kostanyan, said the resignation was due to health issues but gave no details.
“Dear Pavlik, as you see, we cannot decide everything. If you are still alive, it is due to the will of god. It means that you still have things to do, for Armenia and for your family. As a brother, I ask that you end your hunger strike and assist the physicians to get back on your feet as soon as possible,” Sefilian writes.
The distribution took place in Norashen village benefiting 12 families and 45 individuals, Govshatly village benefiting four families and 15 individuals and Jivanni village benefiting 38 families and 198 individuals.
