Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has entered the National Assembly to discuss the matter of holding snap parliamentary elections with MPs.
Describing them as “counter-revolutionaries”, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan told demonstrators outside the National Assembly that he has signed orders calling on Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP)and ARF ministers in his government to resign.
Armenia’s parliament has passed a bill allowing for a change in the procedural code that would allow for the suspension of sessions in the case of unforeseeable circumstances (force majeure) or when MPs are prevented from voting. The legislature would reconvene only when these obstacles are removed.
Armenian Prime Minister minced no words today when he called a bill introduced by three Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) MPs as a “counter-revolution in the making”.
Armen Rustamyan, who heads the ARF faction in the National Assembly, told reporters today in Yerevan that while the party agrees that snap parliamentary elections must be held, there is no rush to do so.
A postage stamp dedicated to the theme “Europa 2018. Bridges” was cancelled and put into circulation today in the premises of the New Technologies Development and Training Center of “HayPost” CJSC.
The foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan are scheduled to meet before year’s end, this according to Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesman Tigran Balayan.
The team arrived yesterday and was greeted by Armenian Minister of Agriculture Artour Khachatryan who said: “The health of animals is of prime importance for us and we appreciate any advice or critique that helps us improve the sector.”
