Karapetyan, who owns the Tashir Group holding corporation, gave an interview with news.am in which he denounced those politicians who have recently called for a new leader of the Armenian Apostolic Church.
The ECO was founded in 1985 at the initiative of Iran, Pakistan, and Turkey. After the collapse of the USSR, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Afghanistan joined it.
“Armenia and the United States are united by the historic friendship of our peoples, our commitment to democratic principles and Christian values, and our unwavering commitment to freedom, dignity, and justice,” the message reads.
