"He asked me, 'Mom, will you let me get the medal?' And he keeps saying, 'I want to be like my father,'" said Mrs. Yeghiazaryan.
“I asked my son to name his daughter Rosa, after me. But he refused. I was upset at first, but he said he’d name her after the female fedayi Soseh Mayrig,” says Mrs. Petrosyan.
Armen Baghdasaryan was posthumously awarded the Combat Service Medal.
"He would tell me not to worry. That he’ll go and return. That we’ll build a house. not be upset,” says Tehmineh.
