Armenian President Armen Sarkissian and Syria’s Ambassador to Armenia Muhammad Ahmad Haji Ibrahim met today in Yerevan and discussed the current political situation in Armenia.

Ambassador Haji Ibrahim told Sarkissian that the Armenian community in Syria is well respected and the focus of his government’s attention.

Sarkissian said he hoped to soon see peace in Syria.
