Residents Block Roads to Amulsar Mine for Third Day
The Armenian Environmental Front (AEF) reports that residents of Gndevaz, Jermouk and Kechout, in Vaots Dzor Province, have blocked the roads to the Amulsar gold mine for a third day, not allowing any construction equipment to enter the site.
The AEF states that the Amulsar mine project poses grave and unforeseen risks to the environment and will have negative socio-economic consequences for area residents.
