Armenian President Armen Sarkissian sent a congratulatory message to French President Emmanuel Macron on the occasion of la Fête nationale (Bastille Day), conveying his best wishes to the people of France.

Noting the centuries-old friendship between the two peoples and the special relationship that exists between the two governments today, Sarkissian expressed the hope that Paris and Yerevan would work towards strengthening future cooperation between France and Armenia.

Sarkissian said that Armenia greatly appreciates France’s role, as a member of the OSCE Minsk Group, in settling the Karabakh conflict.
