Pashinyan Attends Unveiling of Aram Manukyan Statute in Yerevan

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan attended the unveiling today in Yerevan of a statute dedicated to Aram Manukyan, whom many regard as the founder of the First Armenian Republic in 1918.

Pashinyan described Manukyan as a man who was born to achieve a sole mission in life, to fight and die for the Armenian people, and called on the government of Armenia and its citizens to stay faithful to that mission.

“We must be worthy, so that every time we pass by this statue we can gazed in its eyes and say that we are masters of your mission Aram Manukyan, that your work has been fulfilled, that your spirit lives on, and that the Armenian people are henceforth victorious,” Pashinyan said.

The statute is located above Yerevan’s Republic Square metro station.
