Deno Gold Mining, in its first public statement regarding the death on November 16 of Ara Poghosyan in an underground shaft located at company’s Kapan mine, expressed its condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.  The company states that Mr. Pogosyan was still conscious when he was transferred to the Kapan MedicalCenter on November 14, the day of the accident, and that he died in hospital. Deno Gold said that it is assisting in the investigation of the accident in conjunction with the National technical Safety Center.
