Karapetyan said that the HAK was constantly changing its strategy, first calling for regime change and recently, laying down conditions for negotiations with the government. He argued that unnamed outside forces were probably behind the push for such negotiations between HAK and the regime.
Tigran Karapetyan, who heads the People’s Party in Armenia, stated today that the party would be organizing a public rally in Gyumri in the near future as well as a convention of war veterans.
Commenting on a prediction made by Armenian sociologist/pollster Aharon Adibekyan that the People’s Party has a good chance of winning a few seats during the 2012 parliamentary elections, party president Tigran Karapetyan took the pollster to task for always making predictions in line with the government.
Commenting on yesterday’s decision by Armenia’s State Radio and Television Committee that deprived his ALM TV company a digital broadcasting license, Tigran Karapetyan labelled the process “unfair”.
Commenting on moves to push through legislation to raise the salaries of MP’s, People’s Party President Tigran Karapetyan said, “As far as I know, it’s the proposal of Raffi Petrosyan, as if he is the hungriest MP of the lot.”
