15:24, February 2, 2012Remember Lilit the 5th grader suffering from cystic fibrosis who was planning to spend another cold winter in a dilapidated trailer?
Well, Lilit and her family are now the proud owners of a $13,000 home, thanks to contributions from caring Armenians near and far.
Lilit’s mother and aunt were present for the signing of the sale.
Lilit and her mom picked out the house in the village of Sipanik, in the vicinity of the old trailer they used to live in.
The house still needs some repairs and the family will need some additional assistance.
Hetq first covered the story of Lilit and her family back in November - "When the church bells ring, remember that Lilit has come to you for help"
Hetq’s staff and Lilit’s mother graciously thank all those individuals and organizations who came to this young girl’s rescue in her time of need.
