Relatives of a 21 year-old pregnant woman who seemingly took her own life in the Kotayk village of Arinj are convinced that it was her husband who killed her.
According to the family of the dead woman, Maro Gouloyan, she called her twin brother Mher on July 12 and told him to visit her. When Mher arrived, Maro said that she wanted to divorce her husband and asked that her parents come that evening and take her and her 2 year-old daughter away.
Maro’s aunt, Irina Tovmasyan, told Hetq that Maro had decided to separate from her husband Gevorg Gouloyan for quite some time.
Maro’s husband is related to MP Mourad Gouloyan.
The dead woman’s family believes that after Mher arrived, it was Garo who killed her and not a suicide.
So far, no one from the police has visited Maro’s relatives. The family says they don’t even know if a medical examination of the body was carried out.
There is no information on the RA Police website about the incident, but Police Deputy Press Secretary has promised to get back to Hetq in the next thirty minutes.
